Poop Pics
I'm pretty focused on health. One of the biggest indicators of how healthy people are, comes from the shape of their poops. After taking the kids for their summer check-up, the doctor gave me a chart that had pictures of poop based upon how much fiber a person consumed. It also had a chart of foods that were high in fiber.
I figured that the best place for that chart was magnet-ed to my refrigerator. I was hoping that my children would stop each time they opened the door to the refrigerator and read just a little about it. They really didn't pay much attention to it.
About a month ago, my mom was at the house and asked, "Why are there so many pictures of poop on your refrigerator door?" I realized that most people don't have such things posted in front of where they eat. They weren't disgusting pictures. They were just little black-and-white sketches. However, since my kids weren't learning from it as I had hoped, and Thanksgiving, which we were hoping was fast approaching, I decided to take the chart down from its place of honor.
While the chart didn't set the correct tone for feasting, it's still important information to keep in mind. So, if you want to know a bit more about your own health, do some investigating into your bowel movements. Poop is supposed to look a certain way, and it's really not healthy to have massive and heavy ones. Even putting into practice developing healthy bowel movements is form of yoga practice.
